Elementals

We are not talking about chemicals here, but abstracts, the condition of things or ideas i.e. molten steel is ruled by water (but it is still also earth). The Hall of Records, Akash, is ideas and therefore ether. Very basic and yet very occult (hidden).

An example of an elemental triangle: butane

in a can is ruled by water
in a lighter it is ruled by fire when it oxidized
normally it is ruled by air as a gas.

Where the elementals come together in threes are special places i.e. in Hawaii, when molten rock (lava) meets the sea (water) and creates steam (air).

How elementals are perceived vary greatly and can be, by definition, seen as two dissimilar forces.

A type of Nature Spirit, Elementals exist as the life force of all things in nature or seen as benevolent creatures who maintain the harmony of nature.
- Animals, plants and minerals
- Elements: air, earth, fire and water (and the ethers)
- Signs of the Zodiac
- Hours of the day and night
- Bogles, brownies, elves, goblins and kobolds
- Native North American lore: water babies (may be tricksters) and "little people" (may give powerful medicine to humans when needed)

Elementals commanded by magick can be benevolent or deceitful and hateful of humans. They can be natural or artificial (thought-forms).
- Can be sent on missions of psychic attack.
- Can attach to the summoner's or other's aura
- Can be very difficult to control
- If not dismissed properly, they will drain auric power
