Not Thanos. This channel objects to that name. Sandalphon, Samael is closer to this channel's vibration. He considers himself not evil, but a mercy and a new start. He considers himself a teacher and a reminder that "life is short but art is long".
Death exists across the final gap and sits opposite sex (life). In crossing the gap, one exits from the world where all things die and enters the world where death lives. See more on this below.
Looking at the Tarot, the Death card and the 22nd card are the only cards that face the other direction to The Fool card. Life is the Fool's journey. It's always "our card". There is a Sufi text on the Tarot that treats Death as the 22nd card instead of the 13th card. The other cards are stacked up in a particular way to build a maze (house of cards) through which the Fool travels.
Most people have read the story about Hercules (Heracules). There's more to this than just a myth or a children's story. If not literally true, it's at least an archetype. At the end of Hercules life, having had his lion's skin coat poisoned (which caused him great pain but he was not able to die) he had to pray for Zeus's mercy so that he could die like a mortal man. Our lives are much like that according to this channel. When the burden of life becomes too great, Death steps in even though our bodies were created to last forever.

Death's opposite is Aphrodite. Between Death and the urge to "be fruitful and subdue the Earth" is where we are constantly. Sometimes closer to Death, sometimes closer to material life symbolized by Aphrodite or her older name, Ishtar. Aphrodite is the symbol of sexual enjoyment and reproductive joy (the enjoyment of life). If you object to this description, think about it symbolically, everything can be divided into male and female (although English doesn't use gender nouns). The entire universe is based on these polarities. Witness the 2 fishes symbol (yin-yang) which is possibly as much as 8 thousand years old. Sex is the glue that holds everything together in one sense and Freud knew a lot more about things worked than most people give him credit for.
